KOSMOPOLIS is a group of three young men hailing from a small town near the capital city, who, in their early twenties, started recording singles and albums, rapidly climbing the top rock charts. The album was released in 2019.
KOSMOPOLIS represents a fresh wave that the Ukrainian music scene greatly needed. They began preparing their debut album a year earlier, during which three tracks from the future album were recorded in demo versions and were already being played on several radio stations, albeit under a different name. The songs were ready, but they needed to be refined for better sound quality. That's when the guys found themselves at the Bobina Records studio, where Dmitry Khomulko served as the sound producer.
"For me personally, 'MATERIYA' is a collection of memories. Every time I listen to a particular song, it's like I'm watching a short film that starts with writing the first line and ends with pressing the 'stop' button in the recording studio," shares vocalist Andriy Yaroshenko. "Materiya is a combination of forces, emotions, and ideas. Each song is a little story from life, a real experience, and the first step towards a great beginning."
