Description
Led Zeppelin IV is the fourth studio album by the English rock band Led Zeppelin, released on 8 November 1971 by Atlantic Records. It is commonly known as Led Zeppelin IV, or simply IV, and is often referred to as the "Black Album" due to the lack of a title on the original vinyl release.
The album was recorded at Headley Grange in England and was produced by Jimmy Page. It is considered one of the greatest and most influential rock albums of all time.
The album features some of Led Zeppelin's most iconic songs, including "Black Dog", "Rock and Roll", "Stairway to Heaven", and "When the Levee Breaks". It was a commercial success, reaching number one on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States and number two in the UK.
Led Zeppelin IV has been certified 37x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), and has sold over 37 million copies worldwide. It is one of the best-selling albums of all time.
