Description
Pulse Of The Early Brain is a compilation album by the English-French avant-pop band Stereolab, collecting rarities and previously unreleased tracks from throughout their career. It's the fifth installment of the band's Switched On series, which focuses on such material.
The album features a diverse range of material, including EPs like Simple Headphone Mind (1997) and Low Fi (1992), bonus and exclusive tracks from Chemical Chords (2008), and individual tracks from other albums, split singles, and flexi discs.
Some of the highlights include the previously unreleased collaboration with Nurse With Wound, "Simple Headphone Mind" b/w "Trippin' With The Birds", the remastered "Spool of Collusion" from the EP of the same name, and the previously Japan-only "Symbolic Logic of Now!"
The album is full of catchy melodies, groovy rhythms, and Laetitia Sadier's distinctive vocals, making it a joyous and engaging listen from start to finish.
