Taylor Swift's Fearless (Taylor's Version) is a re-recording of her second studio album, Fearless (2008). It was released on April 9, 2021, via Republic Records. The album includes 19 tracks from the original Fearless release, six from the 2009 Platinum Edition, and one soundtrack single ("Today Was a Fairytale") for the 2010 film Valentine's Day. It also includes six previously unreleased "From the Vault" tracks.
Fearless (Taylor's Version) is a country pop album composed of guitars, banjo, fiddle, and strings. The lyrics are about Swift's adolescent reflections and feelings on love and heartbreak. Swift and Christopher Rowe produced all but the unreleased tracks to replicate the original recordings: they feature identical arrangements but with instruments and vocals that are more defined and controlled.
The album was a critical and commercial success, debuting at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart. It became Swift's ninth number-one album in the United States, tying her with Barbara Streisand for the most number-one albums by a woman. Fearless (Taylor's Version) was also the best-selling album of 2021 in the United States, with over 2 million copies sold.
