When the World Comes Down is the second studio album by American rock band The All-American Rejects. It was released on September 21, 2005, by Doghouse Records. The album was a commercial success, reaching number three on the Billboard 200 chart in the United States and selling over two million copies.
The album features a more mature sound than the band's previous album, Move Along, with darker lyrics and more complex arrangements.
When the World Comes Down was met with critical acclaim upon its release. AllMusic praised the album's "darker and more mature sound", while Rolling Stone called it a "solid rock album". The album was also nominated for a Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album.
